Seller's description

Rare sculptural candle holder by Ferart Artisan, a Quebec-based metal studio active in Athelstan, Quebec during the golden age of Canadian modernist design.

This striking candelabra features four sweeping brass arms arranged in a dramatic spiral composition, each fitted with a cylindrical candle cup. The flowing lines, architectural balance, and exposed hand-worked construction are hallmarks of Canadian brutalist and mid-century modern metalwork.

The original “Ferart – Artisan – Athelstan, Que., Canada” label remains attached to the base — a highly desirable detail confirming authenticity. Most surviving Ferart pieces have lost their labels, making this example especially collectible.

Crafted from solid brass with a naturally aged patina, this piece functions equally well as a candle holder or as a standalone sculptural centerpiece. When lit, the staggered arms create beautiful depth and shadow, emphasizing its modernist form.

Ferart Artisan is a recognized Quebec metalwork studio known for its sculptural modernist candleholders.
