Where do I download my file?

All digital downloads are sent out immediately by Etsy to the email address you have on file. If you do not see the email, it might be in your SPAM folder. Regardless, all digital downloads will also always appear here: https://www.etsy.com/your/purchases Just make sure that you are logged into the same Etsy account that you purchased from. 💻 𝐇𝐨𝐰 𝐭𝐨 𝐀𝐜𝐜𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐃𝐢𝐠𝐢𝐭𝐚𝐥 𝐅𝐢𝐥𝐞: 1. Log in to your Etsy account 2. Click on “You” (your picture, top right) 3. Select “Purchases” 4. Find the correct order. Click on “Download Files” (to the right of the order) 5. The file will go to your “Downloads” folder on your computer or phone. Please note, you cannot download files from the Etsy app.

Can I use your artwork for commercial purposes?

𝐃𝐚𝐡𝐥 𝐏𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐬 artwork is for PERSONAL USE ONLY. 𝐃𝐚𝐡𝐥 𝐏𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐬 is NOT a public domain source. You are not permitted to use, edit or make changes to, reproduce, share or distribute our digital files for commercial use or resale in any form. 𝐃𝐚𝐡𝐥 𝐏𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐬 art has been digitally altered from its original copy. These vintage designs are unique to Dahl Prints. They are no longer the original works of art.

Can you resize a print for me?

We can resize most prints in my Etsy shop. This includes prints in a gallery set. *Please note: 5"x7" and 11"x14" sizes cannot be resized. Be sure to message me on Etsy before you purchase in-case your print cannot be resized. Resizing a print is at no extra cost and can be done in 1 business day.

Can I download through the Etsy app on my phone?

The Etsy App does not allow direct downloads of digital files. To download on mobile, simply sign into Etsy.com via your mobile browser (Firefox, Chrome, etc.). Alternatively, you can find the automatic email from Etsy on a computer.

What should I do to get the best quality print of my art?

We recommend choosing a heavier matte paper like cardstock (at least 80 lb to 110 lb) for a budget-friendly choice to achieve the most authentic vintage art reproduction. The best results are on paper that is 200 GSM or heavier Avoid printers that do mainly photographic prints, as they print on photo paper with a sheen. When looking for a local or online printer, search for “Giclee Printing”, that term will often pull up printers that offers multiple fine art paper options.

I can download art in the public domain for free, so why should I buy it from you?

It's true, art in the public domain is free for anyone to enjoy. However, most of the art you will find on websites such as Wikicommons, for example, have low quality images that might be okay for looking at online, but if you were to print them they would be pixelated and blurry, especially if you wanted to enlarge them. Every digital print that is sold in Dahl Prints has been digitally enhanced to give you the highest quality image suitable for print. You won't be able to find files of this high quality anywhere else on Etsy. Our premium vintage art prints have 300 dpi. We also offer a TIFF file format (the gold standard for printing) of your art at your request.
