This 18-inch doll dress pattern is reminiscent of tea dresses that were worn in the Edwardian era between 1910 and 1920.

During this time, tea dresses were a popular and distinctive style worn by girls and young women, particularly in informal domestic settings and afternoon social gatherings. For young girls, these dresses were designed with comfort and freedom of movement in mind, as they did not wear corsets, resulting in a naturally loose and relaxed silhouette. Tea dresses were typically made from lightweight fabrics such as cotton or silk and featured delicate details like lace trims, embroidery, and soft gathers.

The pattern features a front panel with four tucks in the bodice edged with lace accenting a square neckline. The dropped waist lined bodice has shirring on the side and is finished with a large ribbon sash and tied with a bow. The sleeves are elbow length and accented with lace edging. The skirt has two tiers. The back closes with buttons and buttonholes and/or with snaps. There are two dress lengths included in this pattern to accommodate older dolls that are somewhat taller than the newer ones.

o 40 inches of 7/8 to1-inch-wide ribbon
o 7 x 3 inches of lightweight fusible interfacing
o 36 inches of embroidery floss or heavy weight 40 thread
