This original antique document folder is crafted from python leather, dating to the early 20th century.
At the time, exotic reptile leathers were highly prized for their durability, texture, and understated luxury, and were commonly used for travel cases, portfolios, and writing folders.
The exterior features the natural scale pattern of python skin, with a warm brown tone and a soft, time-worn patina. Each scale reflects light slightly differently, giving the surface depth and a refined, organic character.
Inside, the folder is lined in smooth leather and designed to hold documents, letters, or manuscripts. The interior shows authentic signs of age and use, which add to its historical character.
