“In 1923 my cousin Marian went to Japan as an English teacher. She died in 1980. I only learned all this in 2026 and decided to add her to our family ofrenda for Dia De Muertos. I have a photo and no one else remembers her. I know she owned a kimono. I have a figure for each person we remember and this year I will paint Katrina style eyes on her. This doll was perfect: right size, decent condition, good eyes and not insanely priced. I appreciate the vendor packing her well - the mail lady put her in my arms and I have a couple days to do her eyes!”
