Highlights
Vintage 1951 edition of "The Art of Chess Combination" by Eugene Znosko-Borovsky, published by Bell Publishing Company in Drexel Hill, Pennsylvania. It is 5 inches wide and 7 1/2 inches tall.
The book features a distinctive mid-century cover design done in pen and ink with a blocks of color. It shows a player's hands, one hand is moving a chess piece over a chessboard. The colors are a bit moody and mid-century: black, white, and smoky-celadon green. The back side of the jacket is solid white. The cloth binding is a warm terra-cotta or rust color, which makes it very decorative on display with or without the dust jacket.
Vintage condition with wear a a few small tears to the cover edges and corners. The title page shows impressed marks from a paper clip that was attached to the inside cover flap (visible in photos). A few pages have minor impressions and indentations. Please examine photos carefully for details on condition.
