These tiles are SO different and special. Kudos to the designer who created the various suits, jokers, winds, and dragons so cleverly! Size is a bit smaller but tiles have a nice hand feel. Not engraved; rather, textured with designs raised. They do lay completely flat when face down. For the cost, I would suggest including a set of dice with future sets. Packaging OK; cardboard box a bit flimsy for ongoing use. Otherwise super pleased withe these tiles!

I absolutely love this set! Excellent quality, and the colours are perfect! The tiles are so cute. I bought them for my sushi loving 9 year old son, and now he wants to play all the time :)
