This beautiful antique tapestry square dates to the early 1900’s and features a richly detailed medieval-inspired scene with figures, musicians, and castle architecture in the background. Woven in classic tapestry technique, the colors remain wonderfully fresh, with soft blues, greens, ochres, and warm reds throughout. I found this textile with 2 others, and they had never see the light of day! Totally pristine! SO rare to see this!

Originally intended for interior decoration, this square format is ideal for use as a cushion front, framed textile wall art, or layered into an interior for warmth, history, and texture. The reverse shows the original weave structure and confirms its age and quality.

This is a substantial, well-made piece with excellent detail and a timeless design that works beautifully in both traditional and collected, lived-in interiors.
