This is handmade marbled paper. This decorative paper is ideal for bookmaking, or other paper based crafts, book arts, and stationery.
Combed patterns go in direction of the grain (in the direction of the longest side of the paper). I use fully archival, acid free, fine art paper. This is 230 gsm, Legion Stonehenge paper and high quality artist grade acrylics. This paper is best for sturdy purposes such as boxes, stationery, cards, collage, drawer liners, place settings, party favors, notebook covers, etc.

Marbled paper can be used for a variety of things including matt board frames, book endpapers, handmade notecards, hang tags, place settings, paper chains, fans. There are so many uses for this decorative paper! I hope you enjoy it as much as I enjoy making it!

I'm an artist with a studio in Brooklyn, New York, and I have been marbling paper for over 14 years. I use traditional processes, floating acrylic paints on a tray of carrageenan. I use the personal tricks and methods I've developed in my studio over the years, and bring a bit of my own modern flair to this ancient technique.

The paper will be shipped rolled and wrapped in glassine in a 3" x 3" x 18" cardboard box.
