🤝 What's your return policy?

Every piece is made by hand, to order, specifically for you — which means it isn't sitting on a shelf waiting to be restocked. Because of that, I don't accept returns or exchanges as a general rule. That said, I'm a real person who wants you to love what you receive. If something arrives damaged, send me a photo within 7 days and we'll make it right. If you have any other issue, reach out — I'd rather work something out than have an unhappy customer out there in the world.

📸 Will my pieces look like the photos? Can I see mine before it ships?

Close — but not identical. Every piece is cast and finished by hand, so subtle variations in texture, color depth, and patina are part of the deal. That's not a flaw. That's what handmade means. If you fell in love with a specific color or finish in the photos, yours will match it closely. It just won't be a photocopy — and honestly, would you want it to be? If you'd like to see your piece before it ships, just leave a message when you order and I'll send a photo. Not for approval — just so you can get appropriately excited about what's coming your way.

🎁 Do your items make good gifts? Can I send one directly to someone?

Genuinely one of the most common things I hear — "I bought this for someone else and then kept it." These make excellent gifts for anyone who appreciates handmade things, unusual objects, or the beautifully strange. And you don't even have to leave the couch to send one — just enter the recipient's address at checkout and mark your order as a gift. Etsy will hide the price on the packing slip and give you the option to include a personal message of up to 150 characters. It ships straight to them, ready to delight.

🍷 Are your bottle stoppers food-safe, and what size bottles do they fit?

The sculpted topper never comes in contact with your wine — it sits on top of the stopper mechanism, well above the bottle opening. The stopper is chrome-plated with a flexible silicone seal, sized for standard corked wine bottles with an 18.5mm opening (fits between 5/8" and 3/4" diameter). Sparkling wine, Champagne, and liquor bottles have wider openings and won't be a good fit — though liquor bottle stoppers are coming soon. One note: don't store bottles on their side with liquid touching the stopper, as prolonged contact may cause corrosion or pitting on the chrome.

⚗️ What is cold-casting, and are cold-cast pieces heavier than resin?

Cold-casting mixes real metal powder — bronze, brass, aluminum, and other metals — directly into resin before it cures. The result is a surface of actual metal that polishes, ages, and develops character like a traditional casting. It's not paint. It's not plating. Once cast, each piece is detailed, burnished, hand-polished, and waxed to bring out the metal surface. As for weight — it depends on the metal. Bronze is the heaviest, brass is close behind, and aluminum won't feel dramatically different from a full-resin piece. As for cold-cast gold — let's just say if I ever offer that, you'll know by the price tag.

✨ What's the difference between Glossy and Matte finish?

Glossy is polished and lacquered — colors are rich and saturated, with a sheen that makes every detail pop. Matte is dry and naturally aged — think freshly turned earth, or something pulled from the back of a forgotten cabinet. A Skull in Fresh Grave Brown with a Matte finish will look like it just clawed its way out of the earth. Neither is wrong — it depends on the mood you're after.

🎨 Do you do custom orders or special color requests?

Yes — and honestly, custom orders are some of my favorite work. If it's a color variation on something I already mix, it's usually a simple conversation and won't add any time to your order. If you're dreaming of rainbow polka-dots or metallic mint green — I love the ambition, but that's a longer conversation. Entirely new subject matter or mediums are evaluated case by case — I'm one person with one pair of hands, after all. Send me a message to start the conversation. We'll hash out the details so you know exactly what to expect.

🔧 How do I install my knob, and what hardware is included?

A standard machine screw is included. Most cabinet and drawer fronts have a pre-drilled 3/16" hole — the screw passes through from the back and threads into the base of the knob. If yours isn't pre-drilled, a 3/16" drill bit and about two minutes is all that stands between you and a significantly more interesting kitchen. Each knob is drilled and tapped for a #8-32 machine screw — the industry standard, and the only thread size that will fit. I include a 1¼" #8-32 screw, but if you need a different length, thread size, or prefer it undrilled, just send me a message.

🧼 How do I care for my piece?

Hand wash only, using mild soap and warm water. No harsh cleaners, no rough brushes, and please — not the dishwasher. Treat it the way you'd treat your wedding china, or anything else you actually want to keep looking good. A gentle hand and a soft cloth is all it needs.

📦 Can I order more than what's shown in stock?

The stock numbers are soft caps, not hard limits. If you need more than shown, send me a message and I'll confirm lead time. I've never turned down a reasonable request.

Double Skull Heart — Gothic Love Sculpture

The heart is one of the most recognizable symbols of love.
The skull brings a macabre edge — unexpected, mischievous, and impossible to ignore.

Together, they create a playful reimagining of the heart: affectionate, unconventional, and just dark enough to feel interesting.

This sculpture is for those who appreciate romance with personality — love expressed with a sense of humor, a gothic sensibility, and a fondness for the slightly strange.

Each piece is cast from my original, anatomically correct sculpt and expertly crafted with the finest acrylic paints, and then finished with your choice of a glossy finish, or a matte finish. Attention to detail and surface finish ensures that every sculpture has its own subtle character. Because each sculpture is a unique, hand crafted item, there may be some slight variations in each piece and they will not match the photos perfectly.
You will have an individual and special item.

Finish Options: Glossy or Matte
Both finishes are available on all sculptures — it's entirely a matter of personal taste.
That said, if you're going for something that looks like it just clawed its way out of the earth, matte is the way to go. It has a dry, aged quality that gives the skulls a more naturalistic, freshly-unearthed look. Glossy, on the other hand, has a polished, almost lacquered feel that makes colors pop and catches the light beautifully.
Neither is wrong — just different vibes.

All of my sculptures are custom **made to order** and take 3-7 days to produce. Although I may have some already available from a previous batch. Message me to find out what I have in stock.
