Capture the festive spirit of New Orleans with this beautiful vintage 1991 Vogue Ginny Doll. Originally released in 1988 it was re-released in 1991. You can see the gold heart tag on her wrist lists both years. This African American collector's doll is "Queen of Mardi Gras" Model 71-4010, part of the beloved Ginny line.
"Queen of Mardi Gras" is from the "Make Believe" collection of Ginny dolls. It is made of poseable vinyl.
Set includes the doll, original vibrant Mardi Gras costume and feathered head piece, pearl necklace, sandals, brush and comb set. The doll is also wearing her original gold heart paper tag on her wrist and comes with doll stand.
The doll has been removed from the cardboard backing. Brush and comb set along with the headpiece are in original bags.
The Queen has sleepy eyes and brown curly hair.
She is in her original box. As stated doll was previously detached from cardboard insert. The plastic covered has discolored but she also has the original Ginny doll outer cardboard sleeve. The box shows signs of wear with some discoloration and stains.
The doll is in good condition. Please be aware that dolls this age have limbs that are attached with small rubber bands that may dry up and crack over time and limbs may need to be re-attached if used for other than display.
