I love working with turquoise and got these Hubei turquoise heart cabochons from a local lapidarist in Colorado, USA. Hubei Turquoise comes from the Hubei Mine in China. It symbolizes protection, wisdom, and good fortune; often worn as a talisman to bring balance, clear communication, and calm energy.

I love the turquoise blue/green color of the cabochons with little black/brown flecks in the matrix. The cabochons are set in a serrated bezel, and surrounded by a sterling silver twisted rope with a bead at the bottom of the heart's point. I used 925 sterling silver for the earrings. The two earrings are 15mm (5/8") in height and 15mm (9/16") in diameter. The back of the earrings are stamped with the word STERLING and a small heart and comes with two butterfly backings. The earrings underwent patina to add definition to the stamps and the twisted rope wire. Classic and timeless piece that will work with many daily outfits or festivals.

I take all the pictures and videos in natural light in the desert here in New Mexico. No editing or adjustment of the pictures were done.

These earrings will be polished before shipping again, so that it will be nice and shiny without any fingerprints.

These earrings were made by hand with love by Aléta locally in Albuquerque, NM.

Packaged mindfully with post-recycled paper products as well as recyclable packaging.
