Vintage Sony Speaker Key Box Hooks Holder Entryway Mudroom

We love making vintage relics that can no longer serve their purpose into something useful. This Sony bookshelf sized speaker had lost its mate and had damaged components, but it definitely kept its cool 1970s/early '80s vibe so we opted to make it into functional wall decor for the vintage audiophile. This hinged speaker box has a magnetic closure and inside are 9 key hooks plus a wood cavity at the bottom that is perfect for sliding a wallet or sunglasses or other come-and-go necessities. All exterior and interior finishes are as originally manufactured.

PLEASE NOTE: We do not provide hanging hardware since each installation requirement may differ. We do not recommend hanging this by the original slot provided by the manufacturer for hanging as a speaker. Since it is intended to be opened and closed regularly, we have provided pilot holes on the back for installing directly to the wall in two spots (into stud or using anchors)--this will provide a flat installation and easy use (last picture shows this piece as it would be installed).

**This is a vintage item with handcrafted alterations, and as such knocks and imperfections are to be expected--notable small dents and fine scratches in the dark walnut veneer wrap on the exterior here and there. It is in excellent condition consistent with its age.
