Ethiopian opals are "hydrophane," meaning they are porous and absorb liquids, which can temporarily change their appearance.

Natural Ethiopian opals are truly unique, so they naturally vary in size and look different under dim indoor lights compared to bright outdoor sunshine. Even though the measurements were listed, I gladly provided a free return shipping label so the buyer could receive a full refund.
