The scent opens unexpectedly, not with a heavy base, but with a light, luminous flash. In the first moments, a subtle citrus facet appears — not lemon, not bergamot, but a dry, almost transparent acidity, like the air around freshly cut pale wood. This nuance is brief. It does not dominate; it simply highlights the structure.

Very quickly, the material gathers into a smooth, dense core. A soft woody body emerges — not resinous, not dusty, but warm and polished. There is no smoke, no earthiness, no green sharpness. What remains is a clean, slightly sweet woody mass with a distinctly tactile character.

At its heart, Sandal Core reveals a special texture: creamy, yet not buttery; milky, yet not gourmand. It feels like warmed skin meeting wood. Less a “note” than a physical sensation, as if the scent becomes part of the surface itself.

On skin, Sandal Core grows deeper and calmer. It does not project aggressively. Diffusion is moderate, while longevity is high. Rather than pushing outward, the material works from within the composition, holding it together and creating a sense of cohesion and warmth.

In the drydown, a smooth, lightly sweet woody aura remains, accompanied by a faint bright edge — that characteristic citrus-fresh nuance at the upper contour of the wood.

This is not an imitation of natural sandalwood.
It is a modern woody structure, clean, smooth, and tactile.

In perfumery, Sandal Core plays an architectural role. It is not meant to be the main focus. Its purpose is to build foundations, add body to the base, soften transitions between ingredients, and bind a formula into a coherent whole. For this reason, it is rarely used on its own, but almost always proves valuable inside compositions.

Sandal Core works especially well in woody, ambery, and molecular formulas, enhancing depth, adding soft volume, and helping surrounding materials feel more unified. It pairs naturally with ambroxan-type materials, musks, and Iso structures.

Suitable for professional perfumery, scented cosmetics, home fragrance, and experimental compositions. Typical use levels range from trace amounts up to several percent, depending on the intended effect.
