Exceptionally beautiful, hand painted uranium glass vase in a light iridescent green color. The glass glows bright green under UV / black light!
Lovely Art Nouveau / Bohemian style floral motifs with slightly 'embossed' paint. Classic flared trumpet neck and bulbous body. Absolutely mesmerizing to watch!

The fluorecent uranium glass items were mainly produced in Central Europe in the late 19th and early 20th century. This vase is likely slightly later production.
Uranium glass is made by adding a small amount uranium oxide to the molten glass during production. This gives the glass the signature green hue and its fluorecent glow under UV light.

The uranium content is low and the glass is is safe for decorative use!

In good vintage condition with no chips or cracks. Some light age-related staining and minor wear. See photos for details!
