How long will my Love Frankie lampshade take to arrive?

All of our lampshades are handmade to order in our Totnes workshop, with an average lead time of approximately 3 - 4 weeks. Any extended leadtimes will be noted in our store announcement. We promise they're worth the wait. Your shade is being made especially for you, not plucked from a dusty warehouse shelf.

What size lampshade do I need?

Not sure whether your lamp needs a dainty little number or a giant beacon of joy? We can help. The right size depends on whether your shade is for a table lamp, floor lamp or ceiling pendant, as well as the proportions of your lamp base and room. Send us a photo of your lamp and its measurements and we'll happily point you in the right direction. You can also find our full Lampshade Size Guide on the Love Frankie website. https://www.lovefrankie.com/blogs/the-whip/the-ultimate-guide-to-finding-the-perfect-sized-lampshade

How do I measure a lampshade?

Our lampshade measurements are shown as diameter × height. Diameter is measured straight across the widest part of the shade, while height is measured from the top edge to the bottom edge. If your shade has fringing, we'll tell you whether this is included in the listed dimensions. No advanced mathematics required. 📏

Which lampshade shape should I choose?

Drum? Tube? Cone? French drum? Something fabulously fringed and vintage? Different lampshade shapes can completely change the look and proportions of a lamp. If you're stuck, send us a photo of your lamp base and we'll help you choose. You can also find our Ultimate Guide to Lampshade Shapes on the Love Frankie website. https://www.lovefrankie.com/blogs/the-whip/the-ultimate-guide-to-finding-the-perfect-shaped-lampshade

Will your lampshades fit UK and European lamp fittings?

Our standard lampshade fittings are designed to work with common UK lamp holders and include a removable adaptor where appropriate. If you're outside the UK or have an unusual fitting, send us a photo before ordering and we'll check it with you.

Can I order free fabric samples before choosing my lampshade?

Absolutely. In fact, we encourage it. Colours and textures can look different from screen to screen, so seeing the fabric in your own home is the best way to decide. You can order up to five free fabric samples from Love Frankie. Postage charges apply.

Can you make a bespoke or custom lampshade?

Very possibly! Because our lampshades are handmade in our own workshop, we can create different sizes, shapes or fabric combinations that aren't shown as standard. Send us a message with what you've got in mind and we'll see what we can do. We like an interesting lampshade challenge.

Can you make a lampshade using my own fabric?

Yes, in many cases we can make a lampshade using your own fabric. This is brilliant if you'd like a shade to match your curtains, cushions or another fabric already used in your room. Message us before ordering with the fabric type, the shade size you're considering and ideally a photo. We'll let you know whether the material is suitable and how much we'll need.

Do you ship Love Frankie lampshades internationally?

We ship to a number of international destinations, although availability, shipping costs, taxes and duties vary depending on the destination and order value. Please check the individual Etsy listing and checkout for the latest information. If your country isn't available, message us before ordering and we'll let you know what's possible.
