Antique black silk top hat with leather storage box, Tress & Co London.

This is a high-end Victorian-era hat, carefully preserved in its original box. The hat's interior features a protective leather band and a satin lining, with the milliner's signature on both the leather and the crown. The all-leather hatbox is lined in pale pink satin, and the inside of the lid is quilted.
Tress & Co London was founded in 1846 in England and was very successful and renowned worldwide, winning numerous awards for its high-end hats. It was sold at Christy's in 1953.
