Delicate Georgian Natural turquoise garnet 9K gold
bib necklace C.1820.

The focal point of the necklace is
well-crafted dimensional bib measuring 2" X 1 7/8".
It consists of flowers and leaves
crafted with turquoise pave and garnet centers
and sophisticated interweaving repousse chased
and carved ribbons.
A hanging carved dangle with garnet center
adds movement to the necklace.

The delicate approx. 1 mm foxtail chain terminated with
a nice slide clasp with safety loop.
The clasp is also adorned with hand carving on both sides.
The necklace is 19" long.

There are no hallmarks.
Tested 9K gold.
Total weight is 14.8 grams.

Very good antique condition
commensurate with age.
Despite a few spots of antique repair
the necklace is firm and secure.
