This charming vintage Horsman Cindy twist-waist doll is a lovely example of mid-century American fashion dolls, offered here with her original labeled box and sweet accessories (box is missing lid).

Manufactured by Horsman Dolls, Inc. of Trenton, New Jersey, this 10½ inch Twist-Waist Cindy doll (Style No. 116) features the classic softly blushed face, sleep eyes, delicate painted lashes, and petite high-heel feet that made the Cindy line a popular competitor to Vogue Ginny and similar fashion dolls of the late 1950s and early 1960s.

She has a hard plastic body with a nicely preserved finish, side-glancing sleep eyes that open and close as intended, and rooted auburn hair styled in an elegant updo. Her original pearl drop earrings and molded high-heel shoes remain with the doll, adding to her display appeal.

Cindy is dressed in a vintage pink satin dress with lace trim and matching panties. The outfit presents beautifully on display and complements her soft facial coloring and delicate styling. Dress does have some discoloration.
