Polyvine Decorators Varnish is a crystal-clear, water-based acrylic varnish that can be used as both your decoupage adhesive and your protective topcoat. It delivers a hard, non-yellowing finish that protects against water, stains, scuffing, and UV fading.

Skip glue-based decoupage adhesives that can take weeks to cure, remain tacky, or yellow over time. This is the step up to a truly professional finish.

Perfect For Decoupage

For rice papers under 35 gsm and napkins, brush a thin coat of varnish onto the surface as a base. Place your design into the wet varnish and smooth gently from the center outward. Apply a second thin coat over the top to seal. Once dry, apply a final protective coat for durability.

Apply 2–3 thin coats total, allowing 2 hours between coats. Full cure in 5 days.

For thicker papers, use your preferred adhesive and apply Polyvine as the protective topcoat.

If applying over glue-based products such as Mod Podge, allow them to cure for 28 days before applying this (or any varnish) to avoid poor results.
