vintage 1950s coat, made of a soft navy blue suede. definitely part of the "coat dress" trend of the 50s -- technically a coat, but wearable as either!

➡ this one features a Mexican label -- I couldn't fina. ton about the company, aside from a mention in a 50s travel guide + a 50s ad for an importer in California. could have been bought in either location!
➡ New Look silhouette, with padded shoulders + nipped belted waist + full circle sweep skirt
➡ giant winged collar + pointed cuffs are made of soft ice blue leather
➡ deep set dolman sleeves
➡ the matching belt has a self-fabric cinch buckle
➡ large self fabric buttons up the bust
➡ deep hip pockets
➡ fully lined with navy blue rayon satin
➡ internal ties at the waist, hidden hook closure

condition: such a glorious piece, wow! super bright, very supple with no drying whatsoever. smells nice + fresh, no odors. there's some minor variation + spotting on the skirt, not the hugest deal + doesn't impact presentation whatsoever. there's two light-colored marks -- at one shoulder + on the back of the skirt. see pics!
