How do I wash my hat?

The yarn itself makes it suitable to wash it in a washing machine BUT if your hat is personalized with a name tag that is hand embroidered and hand stitched to the hat please hand wash the hat in warm water (paying extra attention to the name tag) and lay flat to dry.

Can I order a size of a hat bigger that the newborn size?

Most of my hats I can make in 0-3, 3-6 or 6-9 month size, those bigger sizes will have a price difference, if you would like one of the sizes other than the newborn size, please feel free to message me or use the bigger sizes listing from my shop together with the original hat listing. I can also make hats in the preemie size.

Can I choose a different color of the embroidery thread for my personalized hat than the one shown in the listing?

Of course, please let me know what color you would like and I will match it as close as possible as I have dozens of the embroidery thread colors to choose from.

We've got our personalized hat but we've decided to change the name of our baby, help!

You don't have to order a new hat, I have listings in my shop for name tags only, the new name tag will come with the framing already embroidered around the name so it will be very easy to attach the name tag to the hat using any cream-ish color of a normal sewing thread, no sewing skill needed, The "old" name tag can be easily removed by gently cutting off the embroidery thread at any spot on the tag and the framing will unravel and the name tag can be removed from the hat.

Is the yarn you use soft enough for a newborn skin?

Yes, I make sure the yarn I use is soft and snuggly, that is one of the most important things for me, it does not have any addition of wool that would make it scratchy, I use the same type of yarn I have used for my own sons' hats when they were newborn and older.

Custom and personalized orders

l WOULD LIKE TO ORDER A PERSONALIZED NEWBORN HAT BUT WE ARE TORN BETWEEN 2 NAMES, WHAT CAN WE DO? When you are torn between two names, what I do for my customers often in such a case, is they order a name beanie AND one additional name tag (I have name tag only listings in my shop), then I make the hat and 2 separate name tags, with the framing around the name already embroidered, and then whichever of the 2 names you decide on, you can sew/attach the tag with any normal cream sewing thread and the thread will be completely invisible on the embroidery fabric that I use for the name tags.
