For most of my products, I'd suggest following instructions on care tag. Personally, as long as it is not noted 'dry clean only' or leather, I will wash in cold water on delicate + air tumble or hang dry. Be sure to insert hangers through the bottom of shirts/tops as to avoid stretching the collar. Fold/hang promptly once dry. For stain treating, I use oxyclean spray + oxyclean wash detergent and it helps very well!
