About this item

Every so often a piece of machinery reaches the end of its working life—but the story it carries is worth keeping. The MOPAR Reclaimed Spark Plug Keychain gives new life to a genuine spark plug once destined for the engine bay, transforming it into a distinctive everyday object shaped by American automotive heritage.

Each keychain begins with a reclaimed spark plug, carefully cleaned and hand-finished so that its original industrial character remains intact. The steel and ceramic components retain the marks of their mechanical past, while a hand-embossed leather fob—cut from full-grain vegetable-tanned leather—adds warmth and refinement. Solid brass hardware and a durable clip hook complete the piece, ensuring it’s as functional as it is distinctive.

The spark plug itself carries a quiet connection to MOPAR, the legendary parts and performance division of Chrysler. The name MOPAR—derived from “Motor Parts”—first appeared in the 1930s when Chrysler introduced a line of antifreeze and replacement parts for its growing family of automobiles. Over the decades, MOPAR became synonymous with American performance engineering. From the Hemi-powered muscle cars of the 1960s and 70s to the racing dominance of Dodge and Plymouth machines, the MOPAR name came to represent power, ingenuity, and the golden age of Detroit manufacturing.

This keychain honors that legacy by preserving a small but essential component of the internal combustion engine—an object that once helped ignite thousands of journeys.

Each piece is slightly different, reflecting the unique character of the reclaimed component and the hand-finishing process. No two are exactly alike.
