------ Sloe Wood 'Colour-Finish' stain ------
It is stain and lacquer in one, designed to create a water-resistant, child-safe, matte finish with bright colours.
It is highly pigmented water-based tinted lacquer that you can use without additional varnish.
It is suitable for all types of professional wood craft and interior projects as well as wooden toys and children's furniture. As you don't need to apply additional oil finishes, it is suitable for projects that require bright, matte colours.

Colour: Maroon (dark red)
The swatch photo shows the colour with a slight yellow undertone from the base colour of the wood (beech). On lighter wood, the colour can appear brighter, or on darker wood, the base colour will impart more undertones. Please test first.

In a recyclable HDPE bottle.

- Water-resistant and child-safe finish in just one coat
- No top coat required
- Large range of vivid colours with excellent light-fastness
- Water-based, non-toxic and environmentally friendly formula

Shake the bottle well. Apply with a brush or sponge. Also suitable for dipping, tumbling and spraying.

Fast drying. Approx. 30 mins for touch dry.
3-5 days for full cure.

------ Coverage ------
1m square for 100 ml on average with 1 coat.

------ Prep ------
Use on raw & well-sanded wood. Use our Pre-conditioner if needed.

------ Finish ------
It is water-resistant and is designed to be used without a top coat for wooden toys.
For other projects: If you want to achieve certain looks (glossy, oiled etc), you can use additional top coats of your choice. For extra protection, scratch-resistance or hardwearing applications, a suitable top-coat is recommended.

------ Safety ------
Non-toxic. Only for intended use as wood stain
Ultra-low VOC. Use in a well-ventilated room.

EN71-3 (category III dried state), EN71-9 (organic chemical safety), ASTM child safety, PAR/PAH compliant and suitable for toy making.
Please note, ensuring the final safety of a toy is the responsibility of the maker.
