Gift wrapping and packaging

I pack all orders personally, with care and by hand. Depending upon your order, I will package your items in different ways to ensure that it reaches you safe and sound. Your order items are all personally inspected before they are packaged. Your pins will be hand-polished then attached to a backing card made of sturdy material and sealed in a bag. Depending on how many items are in your order and how far it has to go, I may wrap your order in some bubble wrap for additional protection. I offer gift wrapping and gift messages for domestic (USA) orders.

Custom and personalized orders

Unfortunately, I do not take custom orders or commissions at this time.

Hard enamel pins are generally very sturdy and durable, but all plated jewelry will tarnish over time as they are exposed to air and moisture. You can use jewelry polish paste to remove tarnish and polish your pins, but be careful as some pastes can be too harsh and strip the plating. When cleaning your pins, do so gently. Take care not to expose your pins to cleaning chemicals or soak them in water, this can harm the enamel or metal. To store your pins, you can place them back on the backing card and inside of the pouch that your pins arrived in. You can also mount them on a cork board or pin banner for long term storage and display. Avoid letting your pins touch each other during storage as this may cause them to scratch one another.

How to use the locking back clutches

To remove a locking back clutch from a pin post: Grasp the outer lip of the clutch and push the body of the clutch down slightly. You should not need a lot of force to separate the lip and the body. When these components have been separated, gently lift the clutch off of the post, you may need to wiggle the clutch slightly. Do not yank or bend the clutch because this may rip the post off the pin face! To place a locking back clutch onto a pin post: Insert the pin post into the hole of the clutch. Hold the body of the clutch between your fingers and gently press the body down on the pin post. The post and clutch will lock together when you hear a small "click" sound. In the interest of saving paper, I do not include a printed receipt in most orders. UK and EU customers will always have a printed receipt included with their package. This is required by your countries' laws to comply with VAT regulations. Your account history typically contains your order's details. If you'd like a receipt printed included with your order, please let me know!

I grade my pins by holding them at arm's length under a bright light to ensure the design is accurately reflected on the pin and to sort out noticeable flaws. I sell standard (A) grade pins that may have minor or not noticeable flaws. I also sell seconds (B) grade pins that have some noticeable flaws. I do not sell collectors/perfect grade pins or junk (C) grade pins. The sides of the pins are scrutinized to a lower degree than the front of the pin. The back of the pins are not graded and are only checked to ensure that my back stamp is present and the posts are firmly attached.

High value orders will have a signature requirement on the package

Orders of a sufficient value will be sent out in a package with a signature requirement. This means that the mail courier will need to get your signature before they release the package to you. This is done to ensure proper delivery of your parcel.

Difference between Standard (A) and Seconds (B) Grade pins

Standard or A grade pins have very few flaws, no flaws or not noticeable flaws. Seconds or B grade pins have a few more noticeable flaws that do not affect their functionality as pins. Often times, the flaws on a Seconds pin is so minor that it is not immediately noticeable unless you were to look very closely at it. Seconds pins make great wearable pieces and come with rubber pin backs by default.

Please doublecheck to ensure that you are purchasing an enamel pin or a needle minder

I sell both enamel pins and needle minders in my shop. The functionality of these two types of items are very different. Please double check the title of the item that you're interested in to see if it is identified as an enamel pin or a needle minder. Sometimes, I have a needle minder variant for an enamel pin, and vice versa. If you'd like to request I make a variant that doesn't already exist, please reach out to me and I can add it to my to-do list ^^. Otherwise, please double-check to make sure you're purchasing the correct variant for your needs by looking at the item title.
