These shoes are crafted to order using genuine full quill ostrich leather from real animal hide. Because each hide is natural, the density and spacing of quill bumps across the surface will vary slightly from pair to pair. Some areas of the skin carry closer quill clusters while others are more spread out, this variation is completely normal and is part of what makes genuine ostrich unmistakable. No two pairs will ever look exactly identical. The cognac tan color shown in listing photos may appear slightly lighter or richer depending on your monitor display settings and the lighting around you. Please use our size guide carefully before ordering, as each pair is made to your measurements after purchase and changes to sizing once production has started cannot always be made. Providing incorrect measurements remains the buyer's responsibility.

These shoes are made from genuine animal derived exotic leather and are intended for adult use only. Full quill ostrich leather is naturally soft and flexible but is not waterproof. Do not wear in heavy rain or leave in damp conditions for extended time as moisture damages the quill structure and can cause the skin to lift, bubble, or discolor. If wet, remove shoe trees and allow to dry at room temperature only, never use a heater, hair dryer, or place near direct sunlight to speed drying. Apply a conditioner made for exotic or delicate leathers every two to three months to maintain the quill texture and suppleness. Do not use standard shoe polish on ostrich leather as it will flatten and clog the quill detail. Store with cedar shoe trees in a breathable bag between wears. Check sole wear regularly and have resoled by a cobbler before wear reaches the welt.
