This is not a generic shadow work journal.

Most shadow work journals were built for neurotypical readers who can show up consistently, work linearly, and not freeze in the middle of a prompt that touches something real. This one was built for a different kind of brain.

The Shadow Work Journal for the Late-Diagnosed is a 105-page trauma-aware guided journal specifically designed for adults who received an ADHD or autism diagnosis later in life. It addresses the specific emotional territory of late diagnosis: the grief of the lost years, the exhaustion of masking, rejection sensitivity, the inner child who learned to disappear, and the patterns of self-sabotage that developed when no one understood what was actually going on.

WHAT MAKES THIS DIFFERENT
───────────────────────────────────────

✦ ADHD Pacing Guide — 4 pages that no other shadow work journal includes. A capacity check system (Full / Partial / Low / Empty), a 10-minute path for low-energy days, and a detailed shutdown protocol for when you freeze mid-prompt. Built specifically for executive dysfunction.

✦ Somatic check-ins after every second prompt — body map, intensity scale, and window-of-tolerance tracker. Shadow work activates the nervous system. These pages help you stay regulated while doing the work.

✦ Aftercare pages after every module — a checklist of grounding practices to close each session safely. Not optional. Not an afterthought. Built into the structure.

✦ Between Sessions tools — a trigger log, a pattern tracker, a window of tolerance weekly log, and an insights page organized by module. Designed to connect your daily life to the journal work.

✦ Integration Toolkit — a shadow inventory, a letter-to-therapist template, a 6-domain reflection, and a return ritual for coming back after a gap. None of these exist in mainstream shadow work journals.

✦ Trauma-aware throughout — the safety framing, the grounding practice, the shutdown protocol, and the aftercare pages reflect current trauma-informed practice. This journal is designed to work alongside professional support, not replace it.

I've just started the first prompt and it has unleashed so much. Worth it for that alone

Thank you so much, "unleashed" is exactly the kind of reaction I hope for. I'm really glad it's already opening things up for you. 💛

I've bought journals that cost twice as much and got half the content... The shutdown protocol, the somatic check-ins, none of this exists anywhere else. The prompts are deep without being overwhelming. Five stars without hesitation !!!

Thank you so much, this is exactly what I hoped the journal would do. The shutdown protocol and somatic check-ins were the most intentional parts of the design, so it means a lot to hear they landed. Wishing you well on your journey.
