The trio transform the classical source material into something wild and entirely their own - from the thunderous Great Gates Of Kiev to the playful Nutrocker encore, with Lake’s original compositions The Sage and Blues Variation woven through. Released in 1972 on Cotillion with the memorable catalogue number ELP 66666, it reached #3 in the UK. A landmark record for prog rock, classical crossover, and live album collectors alike.
