Description:

Designed with a low, balanced silhouette and a subtle Stillwater ripple texture, this planter has a soft ceramic-like presence while remaining lightweight, durable, and precisely 3D printed. The shape is quiet and minimal from above, while the textured exterior adds depth and character in changing light.

This is a 2-part planter system made for indoor bonsai setups:
• the outer pot holds a small water reservoir
• the inner insert lifts the bonsai medium above the water line
• moisture moves upward through capillary action, helping maintain more stable hydration without leaving roots sitting directly in water

The result is a cleaner, more controlled watering setup that reduces daily checking while preserving the refined look of a traditional bonsai bowl.

For best results, use a bonsai soil mix that can wick moisture effectively. This planter is designed to help stabilize moisture, but some bonsai species prefer drier conditions between waterings. For sensitive species, avoid keeping the reservoir constantly full.

• Fill the reservoir insert with water and assemble; the system supports passive hydration (no electronics, no pumps).
• Best for typical indoor plants; avoid exposing the PLA outer shell to high heat (e.g., hot car, near heaters, direct high-temperature sunlight behind glass), as PLA can deform with heat.

**This item is 3D printed in PLA (Polylactic Acid), a plant-based plastic commonly made from renewable resources such as corn starch or sugarcane. PLA is often described as more environmentally friendly than many petroleum-based plastics you buy at the store because it is bio-based and industrially compostable under specific controlled conditions.

Durability and handling: PLA is lightweight and rigid. As with most rigid plastics, rough handling or high heat can damage it.

Heat note: PLA can soften or warp with heat. Avoid leaving it in hot cars, near heaters, or in direct sunlight for extended periods.

🌿 PLA is non-toxic for aquarium/vivarium applications and is commonly used in many food-contact, laboratory, and medical packaging applications.

Colour variations between the finished product and website photos can occur due to lighting, screen calibration, photography settings and other technical and technological reasons. We do our best to represent colours and the overall architecture as accurately as possible.
