This vintage 1960s travel sewing and manicure kit is a compact mid-century accessory, designed in a classic kiss-clasp clutch style with a gold-tone metal frame and brown vinyl exterior. Combining both garment repair and personal grooming tools in one convenient case, this piece reflects the practical yet stylish design of the era. Inside, one side is neatly organized with sewing essentials including small embroidery scissors, assorted thread colors on flat cardboard spools, and replacement buttons, all set against a rich mustard yellow velvet lining. The opposite side offers additional open space for small personal items such as coins, makeup, or accessories, along with a small mirror mounted on the underside of the lid for added functionality.

Kiss-clasp (often called “clippit”) travel kits like this became especially popular during the 1960s, when compact, all-in-one accessories were widely produced for convenience at home or on the go. While unmarked, many sets of this style were manufactured in Hong Kong during this period.
