After you place your order, I'll send you clear, step-by-step instructions for mailing the hair. The process is simple, and I'm here if you have questions.

A Victorian-inspired hairwork locket created from the human hair you provide.

Your hair is carefully arranged by hand into a visible woven design and preserved inside a glass locket. The finished piece keeps the natural color and texture of the hair visible rather than hiding it behind an image or opaque resin.

Choose a single-sided or double-sided design.

For the single-sided option, your chosen hairwork design is displayed on the front, with a solid black velvet backing on the reverse.

For the double-sided option, hairwork is displayed on both sides. You may choose the same design on both sides or a different design on each side, depending on the option selected.

Available hairwork styles include knot-style and basket-weave designs.

HOW TO SEND YOUR HAIR OR FUR

After you place your order, I'll send you mailing instructions within 24–48 hours.

US & Canada:
I'll attach a prepaid label to your order message. Simply place your material in a small sealed bag inside a plain envelope, print and attach the label, and send it with the carrier shown on the label.

Outside the US & Canada:
I'll send you my address and mailing instructions after your order, but postage for sending your material to me is arranged on your side. A tracked shipping method is recommended whenever possible.

If you're sending pet fur or horsehair, please make sure it is clean and dry before packing it.

WHAT HAPPENS NEXT

You'll also receive access to your personal Keepsake Progress Tracker after you order, so you can follow your keepsake's journey step by step — from the moment your hair or fur arrives safely with me to the day your finished piece is on its way home.

Simply enter your Etsy order number and the last name on your order to view your updates.

Once your hair or fur arrives safely, I'll message you with a photo to confirm that it has been received.

Your keepsake is then individually made by hand. Please allow 2–3 weeks after your material arrives for your piece to be completed.

Before shipping your finished keepsake, I'll send you a photo of the completed piece.

Any unused hair or fur will be carefully returned with your finished keepsake.

How much hair or fur do I need?
The amount varies by design, so please check the details in this listing. If you're unsure whether you have enough, feel free to send me a clear photo before mailing it.

HAIR REQUIREMENTS

For the knot design, longer hair is usually needed, around 7 inches is a good guideline.

Basket-weave designs can often work with shorter hair, generally from around 2 inches depending on texture and density.

If your sample is short or limited, please send me a clear photo before ordering and I’ll confirm which design will work best.

Processing time is approximately 2-3 weeks after the hair arrives.

Any unused hair can be returned with your finished keepsake.

CARE

Keep the locket dry and remove it before showering, swimming, sleeping, or exercising. Gently clean the glass and metal with a soft, dry cloth.
