Fenton Ruby Red Fairy Lamp Hand Painted Cased Glass 1970s Cadmium Glow Choose Artist

I just ADORE Fairy lamps.. They are just so Magical and feel so special when you see their warm and Beautiful light.. Since Fenton closed down in 2011 these Wonderful pieces of Art are becoming harder to find in the wild.

This is a Deep ruby red glass, cased so the color has real depth. The surface is hand painted with white florals and each one is just slightly different depending on the artist.

Both are True Vintage Fenton, 1970s, with the earlier oval mark that does not include a decade number.

What makes these especially interesting is the glass itself. Under black light, the interior layer glows a strong orange, which points to cadmium in the glass. It is not uranium, but it gives that same unexpected reaction that collectors look for and makes this version Super Special

The base is clear pressed glass with a patterned texture that catches the light underneath the red shade. When lit normally, the lamp gives off a warm glow that Fairy Lights are so well known for.

This a listing for ONE Fairy Light but you get to pick your Favorite Artist or grab both for an "Matching Pair", well almost matching ;p... As I mentioned, each one is slightly different (different artist) but unless you look close you wouldn't notice it at first..

Etsy Shipping has limitations. For sellers like myself who use calculated shipping based on weight, we need creative workarounds to make it all work.

ONE LISTING, Different Weights (how Etsy handles it)
✦Etsy calculated shipping only lets me enter one weight per listing. If my listing has items with very different weights (say a heavy bowl vs. a coffee mug), I will use the heaviest weight. That can cause lighter-weight items to show higher and incorrect shipping prices at checkout—

MULTIPLE ITEMS, One Order (The Etsy Stacking Problem)
✦When you add more than one item/variation from a single listing, Etsy will add the full shipping cost again for each item added. This doubles the shipping for 2 items, 3 items = triple, and so on.

LONG BOXES (USPS “nonstandard length”)
✦USPS adds a $4 “nonstandard length” surcharge for items between 22"–30". Etsy’s checkout sometimes misses this fee, so I include it up front. If Etsy does add it to your order too, don’t worry—you won’t be double-charged.

There is also the UPS option… UPS is often cheaper for longer boxes, but Etsy won’t show UPS at checkout. I’m very happy to ship UPS—just ask.

PACKING, Weights, and Recycling
✦I don’t pre-pack. To ship safely, I sometimes round the listed shipping weight up a bit to allow for proper padding and the right box. Once it’s packed, the actual postage can be lower—I always refund any overage.
I also reuse boxes and packing whenever I can. Your package may not be “pretty,” but it will be secure and kinder to the planet.

FOR ANY/ALL of the above reasons I will REFUND any SHIPPING OVERAGES after checkout, or I can set up a special/reserved listing with your correct shipping and carrier choice before you buy so refunds aren’t needed. I’ll just need your shipping ZIP code.

WHAT YOU might see for Shipping Choices at Checkout (USPS names)
✦Etsy still shows old USPS names like “First Class” or “Parcel Post” at checkout, on receipts, and in emails. USPS replaced those with Ground Advantage on July 9, 2023. So whether you choose “First Class” or “Parcel Post” at checkout, please know I will ship USPS Ground Advantage (trackable, with insurance), or Priority/UPS if that’s safer or more economical for your package.
