Tungsten Carbide tool for turning and trimming your pottery.

Features a hand turned walnut handle with custom milled brass ferrule made by myself in the Hudson Valley, NY. Finished with oil and wax with an optional polyurethane coating.

Each of the handles is handmade and the shape will vary a bit from tool to tool. The photos and dimensions listed above are of some of the tools available and represent the general shape, size, and finish.

Care Instructions:
Tool Heads - These tools are fitted with tungsten carbide blades — a material prized for its ability to hold an edge far longer than steel. Carbide does require gentle handling. It has no give, and a drop onto a hard surface will likely shatter the blade. Store these tools with care, and they'll stay sharp through years of work.

Wood - The wood is treated with oil and wax. As it's used it may dull. An application of an oil (such as Danish oil) and a light coat of beeswax will bring back a dull finish. If you wish for a thin coating of a water based polyurethane added on top of this please leave a note in the personalization section.

Repairs - If a tool head breaks from a drop, reach out to me and I can attempt a repair. The assessment only costs the shipping fee. If the repair is successful, I charge $20 which covers materials and return shipping in the US.
