Superb Yohji Yamamoto coat.
Vintage 90s.
An iconic piece, highly crafted and full of detail:
- Faux fleece vest that clips at the chest: the fleece section is removable, but the section it attaches to is not, as it is made of the same material as the rest of the coat. The two fleece sections are enclosed by a zipper and can be used as interior pockets.
- Gathered hood: two ties on one side allow you to gather it further. There are also two (empty) eyelets at the back. Note: there is a small (original) hole on the side of the hood: was there another tie there? The edge of the hood is stiff thanks to an internal rigid boning that helps it maintain its original shape.
- large central zip and rope attachment at the waist.
- large patch pocket on the left side.
- gathered cuffs with a button,
- pocket on left sleeve with zips,
- asymmetrical pointed back.
First composition label illegible; I would say cotton but on the other labels it is noted that some parts contain wool.
Size 2? It corresponds more to a size 42: it can fit sizes 38 (by wearing it oversized) to 44.
Measurements laid flat: shoulder width 48 cm, underarm width 69 cm, waist width 65 cm, hip width 72 cm and length 106 cm (at shortest point),
