Paperback boxset of The Lord of the Rings & The Hobbit with laser engraved Doors of Durin on page edges. Design comes directly from Tolkein's sketch in The Fellowship of the Ring.
Design is laser etched into the page edges and will not fade or be damaged when reading the books. Pages are first sanded smooth and then followed by laser engraving using an Xtool S1 diode laser. This does burn the image into the pages, so there will be some texture across the page edges.
These books are beloved by many, and a personal favorite, so creating the design was very satisfying, and one that I hope you will enjoy for many years to come. The paperback format allows for a seamless continuous design across all four books, and will be an excellent display on your bookshelves.
