Gift wrapping and packaging

All vintage items are packaged with care to arrive safely at their new homes. Delicate or breakable items are carefully wrapped using a combination of protective materials. This may include bubble wrap, brown craft paper, biodegradable packing peanuts or eco-friendly void fill, and strong cardboard boxes. Each item is securely cushioned to minimize movement and reduce the risk of damage during transit. Books are individually wrapped in brown craft paper, vintage paper or a plastic covering, and shipped either in a sturdy cardboard box or a weather-resistant black adhesive poly mailer, depending on size and weight.

Q: Do you offer international shipping?

International shipping is available unless otherwise stated in the listing. If your country does not appear in the shipping dropdown menu, please send me a message — I'll be glad to provide a postage quote.

Q: What happens if my item breaks in the mail?

I pack every item with the utmost care, but in the rare event that an item arrives damaged, please contact me as soon as possible. Be sure to include a clear photo of the damage, and I will issue a full refund.

I determine the price of each item by researching similar listings currently available on international e-commerce platforms. I typically position pricing within the median range to ensure fairness and value. All items in this shop include a detailed Condition section outlining any wear or damage. Terms such as Near Fine and Very Good indicate an item in excellent condition for its age, while items described as Good or Fair may show more noticeable wear. Any specific flaws are clearly itemised. Measurements are provided for all items, and photos form part of the description, offering a detailed view of condition and features. Q: How are your items cleaned before sale?

Items are carefully cleaned where appropriate while respecting their age and materials. Books are surface cleaned with eucalyptus oil, which cleans effectively and the scent soon evaporates. Cloth-bound books are spot cleaned only where safe, while leather books may be cleaned with a suitable leather cleaner. Light pencil marks may be erased, but other marks and signs of age are left intact. No repairs are undertaken. Clothing, fabrics and linen are washed and pressed. Suits are professionally dry cleaned unless otherwise stated. Ceramics and glass are thoroughly washed before dispatch. Any condition issues are always described and photographed.
