The Nikon 24-85 mm f/2.8-4.0D IF AF is a Nikkor telephoto zoom lens that allows you to shoot stunning close-up photographs. With 15 elements in 11 groups lens construction, this Nikon lens reduces the aberrations in the images you capture. The 72 mm filter thread of this telephoto zoom lens allows you to attach filters that offer protection from dust. The 9 diaphragm blades in this Nikon lens help you to control the amount of light that passes through it. The maximum aperture range of f/2.8 to f/4 in the Nikon 24-85 mm f/2.8-4.0D IF AF lens allows you to capture clear images even in dimly lit conditions.

This lens requires the camera body to have an autofocus motor for autofocus to function.
It is is compatible with all Nikon F-mount DSLRs, but autofocus works only on models with a built-in autofocus motor (e.g., D7000-series, D800-series, D300-series, etc.). Lenses without motors, such as D3000-series and D5000-series cameras, will only work in manual focus mode. The lens is also compatible with 35mm film SLR cameras and can be used with a DX-format digital camera, though the field of view will be cropped.
