Highlights
A stunning large hand carved cross made from Whitby jet in the 1800s. Whitby is a seaside town with a large Abbey and was the inspiration for the book Dracula. Whitby jet jewellery was popular during the Victorian era and particularly whilst the Queen was in morning. The cross comes hanging on a black velvet ribbon and a gold coloured metal ring.

Length : 13 cms excluding rings
Width : 8 cms
Size of central square : 2.2 cms
Width at top and base: 1.8 cms
Some wear commensurate with age . There are two chips on the reverse where the lower part attaches to the central square.
