Highlights

🦈 Shark Feeding Alphabet & Phonics Game 🦈

Make early reading fun and engaging with this interactive Shark Feeding Game – a hands-on way to build essential phonics skills while children play!

Designed by a qualified Early Years educator, this resource supports children as they learn to recognise letters, connect sounds, and develop key early literacy skills through play-based learning.

🌟 What’s Included:
Shark template
Letter cards
Picture cards
Instructions
Simply print, cut, and create your very own hungry shark ready to be “fed”!

🎯 Skills Developed:
Alphabet knowledge
Letter recognition
Early phonics (linking sounds to letters)
Listening skills (hearing a sound and matching it to a picture)
Turn-taking and social interaction

🧠 How It Works:
The adult or child (depending on ability) pick a letter card, say the phonetic sound, and find the matching picture that begins with that sound. Once they’ve found the correct item… feed it to the shark! 🦈

🖨️ Printing Recommendations:
Print on A4, can be printed at home on normal printer paper or at a professional printer. For best results and durability, print on cardstock or thick paper. This will make the pieces sturdier for little hands and repeated use. Alternatively print on normal paper and laminate or back with card.

🏡 Perfect For:
Home learning
Schools
Nurseries & preschools
Childminders
This versatile game can be played one-to-one or in small groups, making it ideal for both independent play and guided learning. It can even be adapted into a fun bingo-style game for added excitement (instructions included)!

Bring phonics to life and make learning irresistible with this playful shark-themed activity 🦈✨
