Sweet, Firm, and Professional-Quality Berries—Without a Single Thorn! ✨🚫🌵

You will receive premium Ouachita Thornless Blackberry starter plug (Typically 3-6" Tall). This plant ships in its bare-root state—no pot and no soil. The Ouachita is a superstar in the blackberry world, loved by both home gardeners and local farmers for its exceptional yield and consistently sweet, large fruit.

What sets Ouachita apart is the firmness of its berries. While other blackberries can get mushy, Ouachita stays firm and juicy, making it the perfect variety for fresh eating, baking, or sharing with neighbors. Its upright growth habit keeps your garden looking organized and professional.

Why Ouachita Blackberry is a 2026 Garden Essential:
Completely Thornless: Enjoy the pleasure of berry picking without the scratches. Ideal for families with children.
Superior Fruit Quality: Produces large, glossy black fruit that is exceptionally sweet and holds its shape after harvest.
Low Chill Requirement: With only 300-500 chill hours needed, it is a top performer in warmer climates where other varieties fail.
Self-Pollinating: No second plant needed! You’ll get a heavy crop from just one vigorous bush.
Disease Resistant & Heat Tolerant: Bred for resilience, this variety stands up to summer heat and common garden diseases with ease.
Compact & Upright: Grows into a tidy 4-6 foot shrub that is much easier to prune and manage than trailing types.

Growing Specifications:
Light: Full Sun (best for fruit) to Partial Shade.
Soil: Requires moist, well-drained soil.
Hardiness: Thrives in USDA Zones 5-9.
Size: Mature height of 4-6 feet; width of 3-4 feet.

🚚 Shipping & Shop Policies

Orders ship within 1-5 business days via USPS Ground Advantage or Priority Mail.

Note: During peak Spring volume, shipping times may be slightly longer. We take professional care to pack your bare-root Ouachita plug to ensure it arrives hydrated and ready to grow!

Bare Root Policy:
These plants ship bare root with no pot. We recommend planting your Ouachita immediately upon arrival in well-drained, nutrient-rich soil. Mulching is recommended to keep the roots cool and moist as they establish.
