What is included in a frame package?

Our custom frame packages include the frame, glass or framing-grade plexiglass (depending on the size), acid-free foamcore and bendable tabs. We will standardly use sawtooth hangers, but wire is available upon request.

When do you use glass or plexi?

We use regular glass on picture frames up to 11x14 and high grade regular plexi on sizes larger than 11x14 to prevent breakage during transit. Our plexi is thick & high quality. We also offer several UV protective & nonglare/antiglare upgrades in our shop.

What size picture frame should I order?

Our picture frames size options are made to fit a picture that is the listed size. So an 8x10 photo frame is made to fit an 8x10 photo. This size is the backside opening of the frame. We do make all of our frames to order, so if you need a specific size please message us for pricing & a custom listing. Customers are responsible for providing accurate measurements of their artwork. Our frames are built with a lip of approximately 1/4" so please expect approximately 1/4" of the artwork to be covered around all edges. This is necessary to hold the glass, artwork & backing in place. Frames are cut with an approximately 1/8" inside allowance, so the interior measurement of an 8" x 10" frame would be approximately 8 1/8" x 10 1/8".

What size corkboard, dry erase board or bulletin board should I order?

Our corkboards, dry erase boards, and bulletin boards are all made to the OUTSIDE DIMENSION of the frame. This way you can measure your space & know what will fit! This also means the usable surface area is smaller than the listed dimension (depending on the frame you choose! We do make all of our items to order, so please message us for pricing & a custom listing if you need a specific size.

Do I want a wall hanging frame or a tabletop frame?

We offer both wall hanging & tabletop options for all of our picture frames. If you would like your frame to hang on a wall, you can choose: "vertical", "horizontal" or "both ways. If you select "both ways" we will add hardware in both directions so you can decide the orientation later. We standardly use sawteeth, but wire is available upon request. If you would like a tabletop frame, select the "easel back" or "easel mate" option. See the listing photos and description for more info about the different types of tabletop stands we offer, or message us with any questions.

What is your processing time & when can I expect my order?

We custom make all of our frames to order, so once you place your order we will begin making your frame. The processing time for each frame is listed on that product page and usually varies from 1 to 3 weeks (plus shipping). We pride ourselves on our craft & take the time to make sure that each frame looks great! If you have any questions regarding timing, please ask in advance before placing an order. Orders of 20 or more items may take longer. The expected timeline for large quantity orders will be communicated to the customer if the delay applies to them.

How do I order special sizes?

If you are interested in a custom size, please message us & we can price it out & make you a custom order! Our shop measures in inches. Please convert all of your measurements to inches for your mat & frame orders before placing an order for accuracy. We are only able to use sizes provided in writing. We are not able to determine measurements from photos.

Free Shipping to Lower 48 States

We offer free shipping to the lower 48 states. We do ship to Alaska and Hawaii for an additional charge. Additional charges may apply to deliver large frames to PO boxes. We are unable to ship to overseas military base addresses. Please contact in advance for details.

Issues with your order

Our box & packaging must be saved & any returned items must be sent back in our original packaging. If you receive a damaged frame, photos of the box & packaging are required & the original packaging must be retained for any returns. Please contact us immediately with photos of: your damaged item (full item and close-up of damage), the box & the packaging. Returns will not be processed without images of the box & packaging. Returns can not be completed without our original packaging. Do not dispose of the box if you have an issue with your order. We will issue a return label for approved orders with a return window of 7 days. We do not accept returns on our custom matting or framing products.

We offer a 7-day return or exchange policy on some of our items. Please review each item to see if it qualifies for a return. There is no return on mats, glass, foamcore or custom sized orders. Buyer is responsible for return shipping cost. A 25% restocking fee will be charged on all non-defective returns, exchanges, and cancellations. Returns and exchanges due to defect or damage will not be subject to shipping or restocking fees. We provide all customer service through Etsy messages. If you have a question or concern please only contact us through the Etsy system.

Wall hanging frame:
We standardly use sawtooth hangers. Wire hanging hardware is available on request. Choose the frame hanging orientation by selecting the “Vertical”, “Horizontal”, or “Both Ways” option from the Frame Size dropdown menu. “Both Ways” frames can be hung both vertically and horizontally.

Tabletop frame - Easel Mate:
Select "Easel Mate" option for metal feet that will come in the box (not attached to the frame) and can be easily screwed into the base of the frame when you receive your order. Leave a comment at checkout with your art orientation, and we’ll pre-drill the holes in the back of the frame for you!

Tabletop frame - Easel Back:
Select "Easel Back" option for a traditional stand and we will paint the back of the frame black to match the easel back. Easel backs can be used both vertically and horizontally on a flat surface.

Frames are made to the art/photo size. For example, if your photo is 8 x 10, you should order an 8 x 10 frame.

Our frames are made of solid wood. We never use MDF or plastic moulding! Our matting & backing is always archival.
