This is one of my absolute favourite books on english folklore and witchy tales. It's a chunky anthology covering a range of folktales from across the British Isles. You'll find fairies, beasts, ghosts, heroes, saints and more.

Compiled by folkore expert Kevin Crossley-Holland, illustrated with wonderful wood engravings by Hannah Firmin. You'll find a wide variety of stories, drawn from every corner of the British Isles.

CONDITION

This chunky edition was published in 1985 by The Folio Society London. A hefty book with 393 pages, it comes with its original, if somewhat marked slipcase. In the slipcase it measures 9.5" X 6.5" (24cmx 16.5cm). Weighs 1.2kg.

In very good condition. What wear there is, is to the external. Some minor dents and tanning to the slipcase, but really that's about it. A clean, tight and attractive copy.
