How are delicate items shipped to ensure safe delivery?

I am a firm believer in the power of double boxing and use this method whenever possible. I also use plenty of packing materials. I do try to use paper whenever possible to reduce plastic waste. Most often its a combination of the two with the item being wrapped in bubble wrap and cushioned by paper. I care about your purchase reaching you in the condition it was purchased and take great care when choosing packing materials for each individual item.

Where do you get your vintage and antique items

Mostly from estate sales, sometimes tag sales. Neighborhood or town wide tag sales are my favorite. New England has a rich historical background and many collectors so there are a lot of opportunities to find quality items

How do you identify and date vintage and antique items?

I have a mountain of identification books that I use. Many are for specific categories such as depression glass or pottery marks. If I am unable to find a piece in a book I turn to the internet. When I use an internet resource it is always a manufacture's website, collector website or other reputable source. I do not use info from other seller's listings on Etsy or ebay etc. that can not be verified by another source.

Why don't you accept cancellations?

I do not accept cancellations due to variation in my processing time which is 1-3 business days. I have a full time job as well as another Etsy shop so my schedule varies. I try to ship all orders as soon as possible and depending on when an order comes in I may ship the next day or occasionally that same day. If a cancellation request comes in after an item has been shipped there is nothing I can do.
