Vintage MacKenzie Childs Aalsmeer Dinner Plate- 1999

Add a stunning piece of original, artisan-crafted history to your collection. This authentic MacKenzie-Childs fluted dinner plate is decorated in the highly collectible, retired "Aalsmeer" pattern. Part of the legendary Taylor Series, the Aalsmeer design pays homage to the vibrant Dutch colors and tulip boxes of Aalsmeer, Netherlands. It features a whimsical, hand-painted pattern of crossing light-blue lattice lines, bright yellow accents, and a central medallion of delicate pink tulips. The heavily ruffled, fluted rim brings that unmistakable signature MacKenzie-Childs silhouettes to any wall display or table setting. This is a true "Founder's Era" piece, hand-thrown and individually painted by studio artisans on red terra cotta clay at the original Aurora, New York studio before the company changed hands. This vintage plate is in excellent condition. There are no chips, cracks, or structural repairs. The hand-painted glaze is glossy and vibrant. Fully marked on the bottom with the clear, impressed "1999 LB" artisan stamp indicating it was made in 1999 by painter LB. It also features the standard debossed MacKenzie-Childs oval trademark stamp containing the company's 1983 founding date. While the manufacture states that this piece is both dishwasher and microwave safe, hand washing is recommended. Shipping Protection: Each piece is first wrapped to protect the finish, followed by at least two layers of heavy-duty bubble wrap. We use 2-3 inches of high-density cushioning on all sides to prevent movement during transit.
