Highlights
I obtained a small collection of these fantastic very old French clock mechanisms. A few were marked "Germain Seveau" but this one is unmarked, and the horologist and jeweler was located in the town of Evreux in Normandy, France. This is probably 19th century, possibly 18th century. I know that some people take these apart and repurpose the gears as steampunk accessories, but I think this is a striking sculptural piece. I am not a clock expert, so I can't tell you if this one is complete or able to be re-installed in a clock. The wood frame measures about 9 1/4" tall by 4 3/4" wide and it's about 6 7/8" deep. It weighs over 2 pounds. In fair condition.
