This book is the real deal—one of the most detailed occult witchcraft books ever compiled. This is a genuine first edition, now 56 years old, in very good condition. Please note that this is not the 1971, 1972, 1977, 1980, or 2000s paperboard edition or the remade softcover.

Some of the subjects discussed: magick, divination, necromancy, herbal lore, conjuring, invocation, astrology, covens, omens, herbalism, witchcraft, rituals, spell work, the witch’s alphabet, grimoire, exorcism, magic, mythology, Lilith, gods and goddesses, angels, the Druids, Celtic lore, astrology, the pentacle of protection, metaphysics, spirituality, sigils, the witches’ wheel, attainment, the coven, ceremonial magic, other realms, spells for lovers, metaphysics, the Kabbalah, esoteric wisdom, mysticism, planetary talismans, the secret seal, hexagram, and pentacles of Solomon, mythology, ancient lore, manifestation, counter magic, storm raising, protection, the Watchers of Heaven, the underworld, the religion of the stars, mysticism, the Watchers, King Arthur, Madame Blavatsky, and more. Considered the book that exploded the occult movement in the '70s, it covers every aspect of the occult you could possibly want to know—and more, dating back thousands of years, with much of the manuscript’s information dating back to the B.C. era. When searching for a witchcraft book, you may have asked yourself, “Which one do I read?” Well, I would suggest this one.

This powerful book of magic and witchcraft spans centuries, including an extensive compendium of writings on Divination, Spells, Magic, Occult Science, and the Esoteric. This book is a Guide for Witches, Warlocks, and Covens; it is the first book to produce a do-it-yourself manual for the would-be witch or warlock—a comprehensive book of magic and the occult. "Mastering Witchcraft" is a comprehensive and practical guidebook that explores the ancient art of witchcraft. Published in the 20th century, this influential book offers a wealth of knowledge and techniques for those seeking to deepen their understanding and practice of witchcraft. I must note that this particular edition is in the finest condition I have ever seen, especially for a book bound over half a century ago.

It thoroughly explores various aspects of witchcraft, drawing from historical traditions, folklore, and personal experiences. The book encompasses a broad range of topics, including the history of witchcraft, the tools and rituals employed in spellcasting, the significance of symbols and sigils, and the practices of divination and herbalism.

The author emphasizes the importance of developing a solid foundation in the fundamentals of witchcraft. Huson provides detailed instructions on creating a personal altar, gathering and consecrating ritual tools, and performing rituals and spells effectively. He also offers guidance on the ethical considerations and responsibilities of practicing witchcraft, encouraging readers to approach their craft with respect and integrity.

One notable feature of "Mastering Witchcraft" is its inclusion of practical exercises and spells that readers can use to deepen their magical abilities. Huson also explores the realms of psychic self-defense, astral projection, and spirit communication, providing insights and techniques for those interested in these areas of magical practice.

The overall condition of this book is very good, considering it was printed over half a century ago in 1970. It has some very light shelf wear (barely noticeable) and some natural age toning to the pages, with one page displaying a crease to the margin, although not folded over. I have owned a few of these over the years, but this is undoubtedly one of the most well-preserved I have ever encountered.

Throughout the book, Huson incorporates historical references and anecdotes, offering readers a glimpse into the rich tapestry of witchcraft's past. He draws from various cultural and historical sources, gaining a comprehensive understanding of different witchcraft traditions and practices. This broad perspective allows readers to explore the diverse aspects of witchcraft and adapt their approach to align with their personal beliefs and inclinations.

"Mastering Witchcraft" is a valuable resource for beginners and experienced practitioners. It balances theory, practical exercises, and historical context, making it an accessible and informative guidebook for anyone interested in exploring the world of witchcraft. Through its pages, readers can embark on a transformative journey of self-discovery, empowerment, and spiritual growth as they delve into the ancient wisdom and practices of witchcraft. I recommend securing this one before it's gone.

This book instructs the novice step by step in the arts of circle casting, blessing, and banning, the uses of amulets and talismans, philters, divination, necromancy, waxen images, knots, fascination, conjuration, magical familiars, spells to arouse passion or lust, attain vengeance, and of course, counter-spells to exercise and annul the malice of others.

INTRODUCTION
"Witch history is steeped in legend, hidden in antiquity. There are few written sources, and those that exist are generally obscure and of an oblique nature, casting light upon rather than informing directly. For instance, Italian witch lore presents us with the following creation story: At the beginning of the Great Darkness, Diana divided herself into two equal and opposite forces, night and day. The night was ruled over by Diana herself as the moon, the day by her alter ego.

While still a student at the Slade, Huson studied the Qabalah and the Western Esoteric Tradition with Dion Fortune's Society of the Inner Light. In 1964, he worked as Karlis Osis's research assistant at the American Society for Psychical Research in New York. In 1965, he studied the history and practices of the Hermetic Order of the Golden Dawn and the Stella Matutina under the aegis of Israel Regardie.

Paul Huson (born 19 September 1942) is a British author and artist living in the United States. In addition to writing several books about occultism and witchcraft, he has worked extensively in the film and television industries.
