Vintage Emerson Oscillating Fan: type 79648- AU 17-inch, 3-Speed, 4 blade fan, cast metal base. Large heavy duty fan.

Powerful 3 speed oscillating fan made by the Emerson Electric Mfg Co type 79648-AU . This cool 17-inch 4 blade fan is in good working condition. The fan head can be adjusted to tilt up or down. The arc of oscillation can be adjusted via the round horizontal knob on the back of the motor. This fan has been cleaned and lubricated with the correct oil; the oscillating gear box has been refilled. The base cloth have been replaced. Both the power cord to the motor and the plug power cord have been replaced. Not the original finish (older repaint). This fan is old technology which means it does not have the same safety cage as a modern fan, as this fan is almost 80 years old. The classic styling of this fan is sure to be a fantastic addition to your home. This fan has an older repaint finish on it.

This is a large fan that can move air effectively on the high setting in a medium sized room.
