What is happening? I ordered this pattern to replace one that was completely NOT going to produce the item shown, and once I downloaded this pattern I discovered it is exactly the same one but under a different name and with different picture. Is this just a scam? To follow up: the seller responded quickly and I received an immediate refund.

You're right that this pattern is under my niece's name; she's my niece and I sell her pattern with her full permission, to help promote her art. About the picture not matching the final product — I understand your concern, but I've sold this pattern for almost 2 months with zero complaints from other buyers, and I have picture-proof reviews too. Also, the pattern you mentioned is actually a bonus PDF — the purchase includes 2 PDFs, my own "10 Designs Crochet Hobo Bag" pattern plus this bonus one. This pattern is also a best seller in my shop, which wouldn't be possible if it were fake. Thanks again for the quick refund!
